About Us
The Canadian Tree Nursery Association advocates on behalf of tree nurseries from coast to coast to coast. Formed in 2023, the Canadian Tree Nursery Association is the only national voice representing tree nurseries in Canada. Our membership grows more than 90% of the nation’s tree seedlings.
Our Mandate
To enhance awareness of the tree nursery sector in Canada with key audiences, including policymakers, industry stakeholders and the public.
To represent the interests of Canadian tree nurseries and to successfully position them to fulfil their critical purpose.
To be an information-sharing hub for members and engaged stakeholders regarding funding, research opportunities and operational innovations.
To position the CNTA as a key partner with Indigenous, federal and provincial governments, provincial nursery associations and related organizations (including those focused on ecology and genetics, tree planting, and research and development).
To identify opportunities to improve and grow the tree nursery sector, both through the cultivation of talent and by monitoring and responding to industry trends.
To support the professional development of persons involved in all facets of the industry to ensure the sector has the skills and knowledge to sustain itself well into the future.
To proactively pursue technical innovations that support increased nursery efficiency and productivity, to ensure the industry can deliver on its goals.
